A note from the founder.

My journey to building Verde Box wasn’t linear, but it was deeply personal. I began as a software engineer, later moved into teaching and academia, and then took time to focus fully on being a mother. Across each chapter, I’ve always been drawn to meaningful experiences, the kind that linger, quietly.

Travel became a big part of my life. Not the picture-perfect kind, but the slow, immersive kind. Along the way, I found myself constantly discovering beautiful, often-overlooked crafts and makers, people and products that deserved to be seen and celebrated.

Verde Box was born from this place. A way to bring together sustainability, design, and India’s artisanal richness into everyday moments of gifting, whether personal or professional.

“Verde” means green. To us, it stands for mindful choices. “Box” is simply a vessel. Flexible, customisable, and never the point. 

What matters is what goes into it, the thought, the story, the intention.
